This is to notify the local police of our intention to protest at the Morley Recreation Centre on the 16th October, 2010.

This protest is in regard to the arrival in Australia of a Burmese actor with ties to the Burmese military regime. He has starred in many military propaganda movies that hide and deny the well documented oppression and brutality of the regime.

As Australian citizens and former refugees who have fled the oppression in Burma, we wish to exercise our democratic right (a right which is brutally suppressed in Burma) to peacefully protest - we are protesting the role this man has played in propagating mistruths about what is happening in Burma.
